Looking forward to District 9...

Seeing this at the weekend.

The trailer looked pants tbh, but I hear good things now.

Cool, ill give it a bash.

Currently downloading:

Watchmen
Observe and Report
State of Play
Fighting
Milk

2 down 3 to go:

Observe and Report - 6/10 - quite funny, not Seth Rogen's best film, but in this film he works with Judy Hill and not Jude Apatow, so clearly its not going to be as good as Apatow's movies. still had a few chuckles.

Fighting - 7/10 - Liked this Film, most people are saying its Pants, and a 'B' Movie at best, but what do you expect from a movie about fighting. Take it for what it is. one thing tho, whats with the way Terrance Howard was talking??

Ok so decided to go for Watchmen instead last night:

Watchmen (9/10) - Im really glad i did TBH, it was a super film! to often we see superheroes film towing the same old line (Young stud becomes super powered, stops bad guys, then gets the girl).....well not in this film baby! Superheroes are just normal humans choosing to be masked heroes, apart from 'Mr Manhattan', we also have tonnes of violence, swearing, drinking and sex......and thats just from the superheroes!

1 point to note, i can honestly say ive never seen two superheroes Fucking in a movie before!

Awesome film!

Decided to watch 'The Spirit' last night at work - 3/10 - What a fuckin weird film, i know its from the creator of Sin City but even that had a semi half decent story! I actually stopped it after 20 mins and messed about online for an hour, then got bored so attempted to watch the rest. It didn't get any better.........although there is one scene with Eva Mendez Naked in it!!! Blurred full frontal, but fully focused rear end shot, and what a fuckin ass she has! this is the only reason this film didn't get 1/10!

Saw 'Funny People' - about an hour too long, tried to be too many different types of films. The stand up elements were funny and a rare movie where Adam Sandler was good, rather than a steaming bag of cow dung.

Just seen District 9.

It's no Matrix but it's quality alright. Has more of a feel of Cloverfield about it than anything.
Never anything less than believable, which is pretty amazing given what we're being asked to believe.
Agree with Tanky, the lead character is top drawer.
8/10 for me imo

I thought it was crap (just one word review is all it deserves).  It is also the only movie I've ever left the cinema before the end.

Just watched it,really enjoyed it.I take Tank's point about it turning into a run of the mill action/chase movie at the end but it wasn't enough to spoil the overall film.

The CGI was really well done considering the relatively low budget.
