Ok I think quite a lot of pretty sexy software has filtered down now so you can do a lot of nice effects at home, if you know what you're doing, and used to cost 200K to get a machine to render it all 10 years ago, now Dell make them...

But it's one thing to make the effects, another thing to make something where your jaw drops. Just feels so....real

Imagine the money and 'expertise' they threw at 'Induhpendence Day' and 'War of the Worlds'. They sure felt anything like that just did...

False, its where the effects took over from the script and Independence Day was a sub par copy of the 80s tv show "V" anyways...

Wow that is brilliant, and shows up crap like Independence Day just 10 or so years later...with Cgi you need a great script and characters for a film to end up a classic...

Where the wild things are, thoroughly enjoyable. Not your average Kids movie but what would you expect from Spike Jonze. Took 2 seven year olds and they both liked it. Soundtrack also very good.

Unreal tezzness, even in 1996 when it came out I could'nt believe how bad it was...maybe you ignore parts like near the end when they get in the alien ship, and just happen to know the controls and can fly the thing...oh and hes drunk aswell, it wasn't meant to be a comedy...couple of good Cgi scenes and nothing else much like your other faves... Cool

I thought independence day was pretty terrible too, the only good part was when the white house was blown up...that looked pretty awesome. But I can't remember what happened in the film really, some ships appear start attacking people run around for a while then an old man kamakaze's the mothership?

Just shows what marketing can do, the film grossedd 300milli and Sunshine by boyle grossed like 4mill in the US....crazy.
