Yeah I was pretty interested in the film when I heard about them making it, but I was more expecting him going into wild alaska and having some cool survival stories and coming across bears and travelling through glaciers and over mountains and rivers....kinda like a bear grylls survivor guy so I was pretty disappointed when I watched it, I love things about living in the wild. U a big lebowski fan then?...pretty funny how that reads i could either mean size or just the name.

Watched Hurt Locker on Blu-ray last night (£12.75 from Tescos FTW )

Had been really looking forward to it due to hype/nominations etc....

Enjoyed it a lot, very tense at times when hero confronted with more and more complex IED's..liked the sniper shootout as a diversion from the films main criteria and LOL when Mr expert kicked the car boot open after having had a bash with a crow bar only to be confronted with a bomb that could blow a hole in the atmosphere.

Could of done with a touch more story to fill out between the set pieces and all in all didn't quite live up to my expectations after the hype but these things never do... but a thoroughly well made and enjoyable yarn and a def 8/10 see it score.

Just watched District 9 on Blu ray..once again tesco blu ray of the week £12.50....

Thoroughly enjoyed it..good mix of social comment, action and sci-fi..

Was worth it for the South African accents.. which i seem fascinated by

Prob not everyones cup of tea but highly recommended nonetheless

Next time I'm sharing a table with The Sicilian and James Miller, I'll ask Boer Wars to say 'Yo cheeky fokking prawn' and watch Sir Donksalot giggle like a girl.

On the subject of South African accents, as adopted sporadically by Morgan Freeman, I was disappointed with Invictus. The rugby scenes were poor, even though it's not my game.

Avoid Youth In Revolt, awful pile of nonsense imo.

Yeh i was diaspointed with Invictus. Interesting story in places but generally poor.

I watched Straw Dogs the other night. Even though i knew it had a rape scene it was still a pretty disturbing scene when it came about. I enjoyed the film alot though. They're remaking next year i've heard.

I am a huge rugby fan, and think Matt Damon gives a great performance, but Invictus is bloody dull!Someone should have taken some scissors to that screenplay and tightened it up a lot

Watched a couple of films I'd never heard about in the last few days both starring Tommy Lee Jones.

The first was 'In the Valley of Elah' by Paul Haggis inspired by an article by Mark Boal (the writer of Hurt Locker). Crime / Drama / Mystery, Tommy's son is in the army and go's AWOL Tommy goes to try and find him... good stuff 7/10

The second was 'The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada' another Crime / Drama / Mystery, it has some funny bits in too, Tommy is a cowboy and one of his cowboy friends is found dead, he is there to solve the mystery of his death and then fulfill a promise he made to his friend. This is also good 7.5/10.

Just finished watching Heroes Season 4 the one with the Carnival

It needed another story besides the carnival people.

It crawled on to 19 episodes and had a predictable ending

Maybe next season will be better

Hope so

After sitting through 19 episodes, its much longer than a film

I need a medal not a ban
