Just watched Mesrine parts 1 and 2- long slog of a watch at 4 hours for the 2 parts but would thoroughly recommend- vincent caselle is excellent in it.

It is Ultra violent though so if your not into gangster type films i'd avoid

Went to see Percy Jackson last night...

A good well paced fantasy adventure featuring all your favourite mythological Greek gods from Zeus down....

Percy is the son of Poseidon and is accused of stealing Zeus's all powerful lightening bolt ( which he hasn't obv, seeing as his not even aware that his a Demigod ) but is soon brought in to the fold of the children of the Gods at a big Summer Camp where they all hang out and train every day, just in case the Titans want a bit of a row..

Percy ( with the help of a daughter of Aprhodite, very nice she was too , and his best mate a half goat lad with a smart mouth which he uses to reasonable comical one liner effect )embarks on a quest to clear his name and save his dear old mum from the clutches of Hades, Lord of the Underworld. What ensues is a good romping yarn whilst giving the audience a Greek Gods 101. A pretty star heavy cast fills out the film from Pierce Brosnan and Uma Thurman down to Sean Bean and Steve Coogan..( Wasn't too sure about Coogan as Hades as he played it a bit camp and i just couldn't get Alan partridge out of my mind ) but thankfully his part wasn't overly big.

The special effects and the mythical monsters were up there quality wise as you would expect and all in all a good film that would suit pretty much the whole age spectrum ..

7.5/10

Just watched 'From Paris With Love' .....it's one of the worst action films I've seen in a long long time. It's as if an 8 year old wrote the script.... and the acting was shit too. 3/10

Crazies won .. will post a review of sorts tomorrow, but basically it will consist of "Good in places, incredibly clichéd in others, some genuine jump out of your skin moments"

Choice between two pretty ordinary flicks there imo. Both scored meh out of ten with me. Bonesy probably just shades it.
