District 13 Ultimatum - Not the finest story line but the action is amazing, free running martial arts ftw

Get him to the Greek - I enjoyed this, but Russell Brand is in my top 5 celebs to sleep with, surprised Cos didnt like it, think he is a little racist.

Whatever Works - lovely little film, really enjoyable start to finish.

Law Abiding Citizen - awesome film, loved it start to finish

To watch this week, Wolverine, Inglorius, Last House on the Left and Girl With The Dragon Tattoo

Went to see Inception last night. Absolutely incred.

Agreed.

God bless Chris Nolan.  In the era of remakes, sequels, and re-imaginings.  Chris Nolan is one of few who still try to be truly original and innovative.  Instead of jumping on the bandwagon with so many others trying to sell 3D as gamechanging to cinema.

found it confusing, awkwardly plotted and unevenly paced.

Not sure it deserves all the rave reviews.

It was very pretty to look at but for me, it mostly failed to deliver. Matrix meets Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. (both of those succeeded where this one failed).

"""I have heard it said that fans will return to Inception for further viewings in a bid to extract more meanings from its layers. Good luck to them - I’m not sure they’ll find much. Nolan’s modus operandi here is to present a muddle at such a breakneck pace that it gets mistaken for profundity. """

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/film/filmreviews/7892057/Inception-review.html

Came away feeling disappointed.

""

It's hard to connect with a movie when it tries so hard to fool you; is this a dream, is it not, is it a dream within a dream? Who cares? Just commit to something and get on with it."" From Rotten Tomatoes.

Joobs and I got lucky and managed to score free tickets to see Toy Story 3 in 3D tonight.

I thought meh to be honest. It just seemed a bit too serious and forced to me, there really wasn't that much humour wise. Whereas the other two mainly focused on the comedy with a side helping of backstory, this one focused on the story as a whole with the occasional bit of comedy. They did manage to wrap it up and somehow leave options for a Toy Story 4 though.

One to watch if you saw and enjoyed the first two, but if you haven't, then don't bother as you'll just be confused and wondering what all the hype is about. Oh, and it's not really worth paying extra for 3D if you can see it cheap in 2D as the 3D side of things is hardly utilised.

6/10.

Inception waste of time for me.
Sat through an hour, wasn't impressed by what I'd seen and didn't really care where it was going, so walked out and started crying like Matt Affleck at a wasted morning.

Inception is not quite as clever as it thinks it is, and the ending is just a Bladerunner rip-off.

I look forward to watching the director's cut of Toy Story 3 - the one where they put all the jokes back in. I only laughed twice and one of those was at the Return of the Jedi reference.

Glad to see other people sharing similar opinions on 'Inception'. I came home from the cinema, saw 9.3/10 on imdb and started banging my head against the desk.

I really enjoyed Inception, not sure what everyones on about, its a pretty straight forward good film.

Wolverine is great, really enjoyable and the reason I would also like to date Hugh Jackman

Inglorius Bastards was disappointing, generally okay but just seemed a bit all over the place.

Zack and Miri make a porno, meh entertaining but nothing special.

Winner for the week was Shrek Forever After in 3D, first film Ive seen in 3D, not overly excited by that but a great film, proven by the fact there was a 21.45 showing on a Sunday. Wink

i need to caveat my comment by saying

1. 1st time ive read this thread
2. im not a moooovie person
3. yesterday was my first cinema visit in 2 years - infact if im being honest it was my first non james bond film in 7 years

however................................................

Get him to the Greek was brilliant - a very funny film - disecting our 'celeb' society beatifully and just being laugh out loud funny throughout

Really? I've just come back from seeing it and I really enjoyed it. And I definitely laughed more than twice. There was a lot of semi-contrived "Up" style tugging of the heartstrings, but I thought it was pretty good.
