Really enjoyed The Terminator film yesterday.  Excellent premise for a film, well 'executed' by Cameron and Co.  Alas, this refers to the eighties original which was BBC1's late night film and despite inexplicably being ranked below the second instalment in the IMDb Top 250, is still far and away the best in the series.

As for the latest offering, the machinations of contrived plotting and 'doffing of oil can to the earlier films', leads one to the inevitable conclusion that the only thing this Terminator might salve is insomnia.  Yes folks, yet another soporific sequel.  Imagine a nightmarish vision of the future, a post apocalyptic scene of hellish proportions and when the smoke clears, you're being menaced by a Frankensteinian franchise that refuses to die!

"I'll be back!" has taken on an all together more sinister meaning which really should send shivers down the spine of future cinema-going audiences...

               Angels and Demons

The film cuts out a lot of story, particularly the big secret about the Pope ,to stop any backlash from Rome .

But the book is soo much better
