The goals he scored that day were voted 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in BBC Match of The Day's "Goal Of The Month". As to his his fear of flying, I believe it was to do with a bad flight either to or back from his first World Cup, after that he became known as "The non-flying Dutchman". |

I had heard it was somethign of a bad experience in the past - but it can't of been after 2002 when he must have managed to fly. I'd sooner be on a plane than anyother form of moving. |

and he retired internationally after euro 2000 so he wudnt have gone anyway

Vidic came to the prem unheard of for £6-7mil, since then he been fantastic for them. If they sold him tommorrow they'd get £15-20mil, even then he wouldnt be described as a bargain... Great signing, but no bargain... |
