ok I dont post very often on the HH board, but I think I should maybe try an tap into the wealth of information on here..

I have recently moved up a level in terms of cash play, and playing a tighter than I would on lower level, but still trying to play poker the same way.. In terms of this session, I bought in for $50 and have been playing tight, also in time I would say that opp is the same.. then this: -

Blinds $0.25/$0.50 NL Hold'em

Seat 6 is the button
Total number of players: 10
Seat 1: Like2Win ( $67.80 ) - in game
Seat 2: jizz ( $113.55 ) - in game
Seat 3: BadBeatBox ( $34.95 ) - in game
Seat 4: thanksbutwhy ( $113.05 ) - in game
Seat 5: BaronSengir ( $62.20 ) - in game
Seat 6: Redbull_ ( $99 ) - in game
Seat 7: zdagobertz ( $62.47 ) - Sitting out - Owes Small Blind - Owes Big Blind
Seat 8: Warmatius ( $46.25 ) - in game
Seat 9: zerg ( $67.50 ) - in game
Seat 10: ph1l ( $38.25 ) - in game

Warmatius posts SB $0.25.
zerg posts BB $0.50.
**** dealing down cards ****
Dealt to jizz [  ]
ph1l folds.
Like2Win folds.
jizz raises $2.
BadBeatBox folds.
thanksbutwhy calls $2.
BaronSengir folds.
Redbull_ folds.
Warmatius folds.
zerg calls $1.50.
**** dealing flop **** [  ]
zerg checks.
jizz bets $6.25.
thanksbutwhy folds.
zerg raises $25.
jizz timed out!
jizz folds.
zerg mucks.
zerg wins $17.85 from main pot.

I have a feeling I should be jamming as the $25 seems very much an over raise?? Opinions good and bad plz

jam, just as likely to be the bare  or a set himself as the made flush

You have the redraw even if it is the flush

but you know this!

wow, your loosening up my friend, them jacks would have hit the dirt pre-flop 2 months ago...

I can't fold here, you must still be 30% to win even if he's hit the flush.  I could only put him on a baby flush even then, why raise here with something close to the nuts like , or the nuts...

He either has the bare , possibly an under-set which he's playing scared and not feeding you rope (we know you have top set, but of course he doesnt) to hang yourself with...

Or a baby flush, or simple stone cold bluff as all youve shown him so far is a continuation bet which means less and less these days...

I push, or depending on opponent even call, check/raise the turn with no diamond...

ugh long-handed cash. no idea but surely bare  and undersets make up enough of his range to warrant gambling. Lol i realise i just said gambling with top set.

What was the question again?

"I don't think I should've folded?"

There you go. You've answered your own question. I'm shoving the lot in here and hope he calls. Probably looking at the underset or  like others have said.

If it's a baby flush then it's been played badly by them. Why do they always want to scare you off? People are so scared and always assume that because there's a few diamonds on the board that everyone else must be holding diamonds as well.

Next time you get top set and get a chance to shove with your oppo already in for half their stack just do it. I don't know the math but it's got to be a winner overall.

You can't fold here. Like people have said it's only perhaps 1/3 times he has a flush here, and you boat up a quarter of the time even if that is the case.
