And just like that the end of level 8 chip counts have reached us from Blue Square via that shiny headed poker magnate Jon Raab. Thank you sir!

Peter Wigglesworth raises to 3,800 from early position, only for Jonothon Butters to make it 10,500 to play from the small blind. Peter weighs up his options before folding. He's now down to 20,000.

Dana Immanuel is now one of your potential chip leaders after eliminating two players in the space of three hands.

Not long after returning from the break, Wai-Ming Lam made his move from late position with , only to be picked off by Dana's in the small blind which duly survived a board.

Two hands later, Dana called Pete Singleton's preflop raise from the cut-off, before betting 6,000 on the flop after Pete had checked. Without too much hesitation, Pete raised all in. After asking what the count was, Dana shook her head dejectedly before calling the extra 7,550 and tabling . Pete showed .

The turn added eight extra outs with an open ended straight draw, but it was the set that arrived, the on the river delivering Dana the pot and leading to Pete exiting with the most disgruntled of looks.

Dana was still collecting her chips as I left, but she must surely have around the 70k mark and odds on to finish the day in the top three.

Jonothon Butters is a slippery customer and he has just put the skids under Ryan Fronda's tournament, sending him to the rail.

Details are scarce but Fronda has been sent to grace the catwalks of europe once more whilst Butters is moving ever closer to the bread.

On a three clubs board, Albert Sapiano pushes all in to an 8,500 pot for around 15,000 in chips. Mo Muse eyes up his opponent carefully before folding.

Sapiano shows three diamonds.

Roberto Romanello raises it up to 3,000 preflop from early position. Both Dave Smith and Willie Tann put him through the mill, the latter even asking the Welshman to move his hand so he can estimate his chip count. Ultimately, both fold, and the action passes round to Darren Judges who makes the call from the big blind.

Flop =

Both players check.

Turn =

Check, check again.

River =

Darren checks.

"Have you got a pair?" asks Roberto, poised to make a bet.

"I have two," replies Darren.

"Have you?" asks Roberto suspiciously.

"If you've got ace high, you win," continues the Welshman before betting out 1,500.

After a moments hesitation, Darren makes the call and shows . Roberto mucks.

Some quick counts before we get final confirmation of today's standings from the Raabster.

The much followed lover of lasagna Rob Garfield has 25,000.

Johnathon Butters, shortly after taking care of Ryan Fronda, has milked his way to a 30k stack.

The honey monster Albert Sapiano has seen his stack fluctuate almost randomly before settling upon 22,000 just a few minutes prior to the end of proceedings today.

Unless he runs into any sticky situations he should return with this for day 2 tomorrow.

And with those last few snippets of information we have reached the end of the day!

Once Mr Raab's busy little fingers have finished typing up and sending us the chip counts, we'll disperse these amongst you, the blonde faithful but till then we can look back on a great day's poker that has seen beats, big hands and excitement aplenty.

One lady has taken the tournament by storm though and we have to herald her, as she will do unspeakable things with a banjo if we fail in our duty, so I give you Dana Immanuelle, close to the chip lead and happy as larry with a wonderful day.

Here she is taking a few moments out to give Snoopy a tip or two.

Keep up Snoops!

Day Two should be superb. We'll see you back here for a 2 o'clock start. I can't wait, we know you can't wait, Snoopy can't wait but wait we must.

For now  though
