Hi, My girlfriend is trying to track her familys past but is only getting so far, does any one know of a good reliable site she can use?  I doubt there'd be a free one but you never know....

There's a fair few bits to get started with on www.ancestry.co.uk, if you (or she) wants to PM me with a few details of where she's at with her research I can give you a better idea without boring people on the forum with it.

1901 census FTW as asuming you know who your Grandparents are then you prob get all the details of your Great-grandparents and then track back to the 1841 census. Before that it gets much more difficult.
