Did anyone watch it?
Bll Bryson presented the show about litter, fly tipping and our increasing problem in the UK with waste.
This got me thinking about my littering.
I drop a half eaten sandwich and the remains of my bag of crisps almost every day after lunch. My reason for dropping my leftovers on the street ( normally in a grassy area not frequented by people ) is a desire to feed birds rather than throw food into the bin. I have waited a few minutes after doing this to see if my leftovers are actually eaten. Unsurprisingly seagulls, crows and starlings are the lucky birds who get a free feed. I was concerned that I may be attracting vermin, however all my food is eaten almost before it hits the ground. I know some people see seagulls as vermin, but that is another argument.
Anyway to my question . Am I a litter lout and could I be fined for dropping food?
Bhoywonder might have an update on this
