Well I do hear you Ariston. But we gotta remember the business in hand is the Blue Square.com Festival, hosted by Grosvenor. We cant have the cart going before the horse. Management have been terrific at Blackpool already in giving us chips, time & tables, & Carmel at Luton has offered the same, which is really appreciated. & we think Dani V at Walsall would do the same. But we cannot get in the way of these folks running their Festivals.

I am happy to go with the flow, just 2 caveats though. I want it for Charity, & I insist we don't overdo it by asking too many favours of Management during Festivals, which are stressful times for them.

If we over-complicate it, it will lose it's "spirit". I have to say, we absolutely loved the atmo at Blackpool, you guys did your end of things just perfect. And that's how we wanna keep it - a fun thing.

Lol, I have asked permission and am allowed to play pending good behaviour Wink (will also have to raid my piggy bank) . I can see a problem though, 9 notts' players in luton casino.... Huh?
I see a safety hazard with the size of their egos / heads, might have to let you lot in one at a time. Also Tikay the fashion police are on RED alert. Shocked

On a more serious note I'd like to know how these other 2 players will be picked as there is a big difference between heads up and a 9 handed table. Any more info richard (tightend) Huh?

Carmel is suggesting running a heads up satellite during July with the two finalists entering the team ie give all players a chance/be inclusive etc etc. If you disagree with this, make representations to her JP.

Although when the bragging was being done he did mention playing any game for any stake against us losers. I suggested we go play some 9 ball for a grand a frame and never having seen me play he declined. I will now admit I am useless at pool but it was good to see I could still run a bluff on him (Nowabs ribbing of him bottling it almost made the meal bearable).

ariston you never offered a pool match to me at 1k a frame being the only captain of my local pubs pool team to have lifted the league title i would have taken you up on that if we could have found a wheelchair accessable table that is

The Notts - Luton Heads-Up Challenge.

Had a long chat with Carmel at Luton this evening. The Challenge is coming along nicely. More details will be released in the coming weeks. But it is definitely a goer. Unless, of course, Luton bottle it.

A trophy is being sorted by BlueSquare.com, & Satellites are being run in Luton. Please dont ask me how the satellites will work, that's a Luton matter, & the Luton boys & girls should contact either Ashley Templeman or Richard Prew.

Both Carmel & Jonathan Rabb have put a lot of work into this, & we thank them for that.

Charity? It's up to the winners to donate "something appropriate" to Poker4Charity or Game4Life. I believe Jonathan Rabb is going to match these contributions up to a certain amount - details soon.

The Notts All-Stars Team will be announced shortly.

Let the mud-slinging commence.

7djl.

This is not a game for children or rookies you know, though I hear JP wants to play. You could get hurt, you know.

Have you played before at the upper levels of the game? I don't mean Luton Upper Levels, I mean proper upper levels?

This is really shaping up to be a REAL BATTLE. Would be very interesting if fellow Game for Life trustees Malc Muskett and Steve Templeman were to meet acroos the baize. Thanks to Tikay and everyone else who have worked hard to get this event going and insisting that Poker4Charity/Game for Life should benefit. I hope to be in Luton to see the 'Battle of the Titans'.
