Glad Alonso's playing. Looks like he's almost certainly going to be staying at Liverpool then.  Talk on the Radio regarding Barry if he plays tomorrow he cannot play in Europe for anyone else until Feb? Assume same for Alonso - seems if you play in Prelims you can still play for another team in European comps post Feb - is this new or even correct? If Barry plays tomorrow he CAN play in the Champions League for another side, because it's a different competition. However, the way we played in the first half if he joined us he wouldn't be getting Champions League football... He CAN'T play unless they have changes the rules since last year. Players ARE allowed to represent one club in the Intertoto competition, without becoming ineligible to play in other European football for different clubs. Yeah but tomorrow is NOT an Intertoto game. |

Probably the Champions League win helped matters , though i must admit he can be highly frustrating at times I don't think we will do that well this season , it was so obv last season that we needed some wingers , and we have not signed any , kuyt and benayoun do NOT cut the mustard, i'm hoping that babel will have a good season so he should take care of one side , still leaves us short tho Fellow pool fans what do ya reckon ? |

Im waiting to see how the start goes before making to much of a rash judgment... We should win the 2nd leg at home, but in terms of the league, I would like to see us out of it for 1 season just so that I can see what Rafa has got, without having the C/L to fall back on.. I know this is probably financial disaster. |
