I would trust Watties judgement on CHs over Strachans TBH!

Looks like you've been gazumped but I'd be surprised if the fee was 3m quid.

Waits for Tightys verdict....

Just said the exact same thing to a few others elsewhere.

Watty has done fairly well with his centre backs lol!

I thought Loovens looked good against us in the preseason. Seems to like to play the ball on the deck and pass out of defence - worth a try I suppose.

Good player, he'll do well for Celtic. Quite funny that Rangers supporters are now slagging him off, they weren't complaining when rangers offered 2.5mill for him.

I hope Rangers and Celtic improve this season, last season was woeful for both teams really and the SPL wasn't worth watching.

I havent seen him (and tbh never excited about signing him) but from these descriptions he sounds like a Dutch Gary Caldwell

For all the slagging he took at right back Caldwell was the stickout defender for us during the run in last season. Remember that was in the defense that let in the LEAST goals last season despite not playing the 4-5-1.

TBH as Loovens is supposed to be a good left back I think that'll be his position once McManus is fit again.
