You have to watch it, Scotty Nguyen pissed out of his skull, acting like a prick and berating his opponents

there are two episodes in full but scroll along to the 7 minute mark here for a taster

According to his interview in Inside Poker (your mag?) he hardly drank the beers, just kept ordering them and sipping bits, then ordering more to lull his opponents in to a false sense of security.

Actually probably the only mag I dont write for.

He apologised on the cardplayer forum, and it looks like he was pissed when he was writing.

Demichelle was made out in some press to be the bad boy

I thought he was well behaved,a little exuberant at first, but he calmed down after realising that he was a little OTT

but Scotty was bang out of order

and did you see Lindgren ignore Layne Flack at the end for being an asshole..I thought Lindgren's handling of the situation was exceptional, always coming back with a cutting comment and a smile

He's got a great attitude and personality. I was speaking to a guy who deals in wsop events and he said Erik is easily the best poker player to have at the table cause he's always joking about despite the money at stake in these events.

I spotted a youtube clip a couple of weeks ago with Erik Lindgren which I found pretty cool. It was a Full Tilt Learn from the Pros show and the presenter Chris Rose was asking what kind of player you think they are based on the way they look. Chris asked Erik what kind of player he thinks he looks like and Erik said something like "a gambler". Chris said "what do you think I have a swagger?" in a bad New York accent to which Erik replied "no I'd think you were a sucker"

Scotty was an absolute knobhead.

I like it at the end when E-Dog says "Hopefully the kid will win". E-Dog is class.

Scotty was wasted and i wanted Di Michelle to win so bad even tho i knew he didnt. Also, Flack was being an absolute douche.

Nguyen was in clear breach of WSOP rules.

If it was just some ordinary Joe who had reached the final and behaved like that would the response (or lack of) been the same?

The time penalties that should have been imposed against Nguyen could have changed the result completely.

Could DiMichelle or Lindgren take legal action against Harrah's if they were so inclined? Would they be right to do so?

If it was Joe Bloggs doing that he could well have been banned, that happened recently to some knob kid who was chipleader in a WPT/wsop circuit event who was consistently rude and he got booted out when he could have won millions.

Scotty gets away with murder, I've seen him calling out peoples hands when he isnt in the hand and a decision is still to be made on TV before, and nobody bats an eyelid.

The only argument for penalties, and its not a particularly good argument by any means, is that this is the highest calibre table in poker and the players will be used to and the least phased by all this 'banter'.

All that said.......great telly
