I thought someone would have mentioned it before now but since no one has I will.

I always look at the home page first for any interesting articles before going on the forum. You now have drop down community to find the forum as the link is no longer there.

Doesnt this make it harder for any noobs or is that the idea?

Hi. I use that link to. I'm afraid I'm not sure when it was removed or why.

I am just curious as to why it has been made harder to find the forum.

Hi Suzanne,

As far as I know, the Site Navigation has not changed for some time, though I could be wrong. Certainly, we have no deliberate plan or wish to make it harder for "noobs" to locate our Forum. Traffic figures do not suggest there is any discernible problem, though you could of course be right.

I don't, personally, experience this problem, as my Default page is the Forum, & therefore when I wish to visit the Forum, my Browser directs me straight there, rather than via the Home Page.

But I will have a word with our Techies & ask them if the Site Navigation has been changed recently.

Maybe that is why it has not been spotted...I like to see the home page and read up on any articles I find interesting before going into the forum and then would click on the forum link that was on the homepage. It wasnt very obvious before (i introduced a friend and he coudnt find it) but now unless you know there is a forum you just wouldnt look for it.

Try it yourself Tony and tell me what you think.

Yeah I wondered about this too, any passing traffic to the homepage will be less likely to stumble onto the forum now.

Bring back the link!

In general the blonde home page needs to be updated or completely overhauled.

A quick look reveals the following links:

home --> online cardroom - Points to old (invalid) url

home --> links - Some very out of date (and dead) links (eg. brianwilsonpoker)

community --> internet tournaments - No longer used for some reason (shame)

live circuit --> WSOP - Links to 2007 WSOP results

tools & resources --> ask the pro - Very out of date (eg. "The important bit is to play online for 'play money' on sites such as universitypokerleague.com" - Shouldn't you be directing people to your own online cardroom now?)

As this is the first page that many new users will encounter it has to be up to date. Obviously the forum should also be easier to find for first time users.

the forum link was temporarily removed for reasons of space, it will be back soon

we also have a full redesign pending, to go up asap depending on available techie resource to do it.

The current design of the home page is more and more unsuitable for what we require.

Tighty has now come up with the answer - hopefully the "easy link" will soon be back.

Thanks for pointing that out.

That's most kind of you, thank you. Tighty may be in touch. But we're poor.......(in so many ways).
