Red, is a £500 comp within your buy-in range, or did you 'take a shot'?  Did you play any differtenly because of the buy-in?

No, I was comfortable with the buy in, I just played badly.

I went back the next day for the £300 and I played really well. I didn't see any cards but managed to duck and dive almost until the close of play. At that point the blinds were 400/800 and I had 11000 chips.

I didn't want to come back tomorrow with less Than 10 big blinds (Tomorrows blinds 600/1200) so I was looking for a spot to push. Julian had a big stack and I knew that his range was pretty wide, so when he opened the betting for 2500 I came over the top for 11000 with JQc. I figured he could fold a lot of hands there, or I could be racing or maybe a 6/4 dog with live cards.

As it happened Julian called me with KQ so I was in bad shape. He hit two pair on the flop and housed up on the end.

I think I have him scared now though, you just wait until next time.

It was a fun table though in the £500, I was quite enjoying it until you got busted and Mr Berridge was your replacement!! He was slightly more active than you had been!
