Looking to purchase a gaming laptop. One that will cope with the upcoming WarHammer Online game!

Anyone purchased a powerful laptop recently. Alienware seems a good place but would prefer a recommendation.

I seem to remember that Alienware were the bees knees for this kind of machine a while back but they were bought by Dell a couple of years ago so I don't know what they're like lately.

Sigh, was hoping i'd got over wasting hours playing MMORG's, i'm far too old to play them now i'm in my mid 30's.

However don't think I can resist playing it after just watching the cinematic trailers.

I enjoyed Camelot which was also made by Mythic Entertainment even though I didn't play it that much because I was still addicted to Everquest.

Graphic engine look great a bit more cartoony than Camelot similar to World of Warcraft, does look good though.

Not read up on it yet, take it there's a lot more pvp involved than the usual grinding of the levels.

Well the best thing about DaOC was the RvR PvP element. Sieges, taking castles and 24/7 faction wars were what made the game. They kinda ruined it with all the expansions when they really should have developed the RvR side.

War Hammer is basically 90% RvR where its quicker to level your char up exclusively via RvR quests rather than the PvE. That being said there is still an element of content for people wishing to play against NPCS!

I didn't play on my beta account for it as I did not want to spoil the fun, but alot of my friends say its  really fun and whatever time you want to play you can find action. I always found RvR more fun and the only thing WoW lacks for me is the RvR and decent PvP content. Although after the expansion they are going to add siege castle features.

Mythic did a good job for a number of years with DaOC lets hope they have the vision with this game to keep people interested.

I find MMORPG's interfere with my poker playing, I tried Lord of the Rings and Age of Conan, undecided about Warhammer despite waiting 10 years for it to be made.

laptops aren't ideal for gaming, primarily because they're not as well equipped to deal with the heating from all the hardware needed. Much better off with a desktop

Alienware charge way over the odds. Just cos it has little green eyes on the lid that glow up doesn't mean its the best. Oh wait, yes it does! get one, get one now i tell you.
