Apologies if you're looking for a thread on the George Harrison classic or something more spiritual but I'm just off the phone to BT broadband and I want to whinge.
This 50 minute horror was one of the most confusing and poorly explained calls I have ever encountered in my existence, at this point it may be worth pointing out that I have spent 4 and a half years of my working life as a manager in a call centre and my entire working life dealing with the Great British public, it is fair to say I have heard some utter nonsense in my time.
The guy's thick regional accent was not being much help (I couldn't even identify the country he was from let alone the region), he assumed that I knew what he was talking about throughout even the techie terms, he seemed completely confused anytime I asked for any explanation on anything he was asking me to do, he was exceedingly impatient at times (even when he was causing the silences), and I had to wait 10 minutes before I could speak to him in the first place. This was one of the worst calls I've ever made to any alleged customer service helpline and was like a horrible hybrid of the Sky techie line and British gas. They even made the Tech Support line at my work seem like a five star service (not easily done).
Anyway I feel slightly better having this little rant and do hope he has that call pulled for coaching, I would complain but the thought of having to deal with them has discouraged me from such a course of action.
Rant over.
