Broadband in France

Anyone know anything about France Broadband?
Off there in a couple of weeks. No broadband where we are going but wondered if i can get one of them dongle things to do the job.
Do you have to sign up to a contract to get one or can you get one on a "pay as you go" basis?

If you dont know about teh french ones, can you get pay as you go dongles in the uk or is it all contract stuff?

hmmm....the dongle stuff tends to be contract. Be very careful if you take one of these abroad as downloads when you are abroad tend to be chargeable at an extortionate rate so double check. As regards French offerings I have asked my colleague in Paris and will let you know

I didnt think a UK one was the right way to go, I just didnt know whether its all contract stuff.
