Atlantic City.. ever been?

I'm going to visit Atlantic City for a day or Two in about a fortnights time and wondered if anyone has been there?.  I have had a look at some websites and there seems to be quite a few holdem sit and go tournaments with an average of 50 dollar buy ins.  I rckon this is a much better bet than flinging money into fruit machines.. I have never played a Live game before but I reckon it will be a bit of fun. I am praying I can find one that isn''t self deal.  . I also heard that Atlantic City was was a bit dodgy at night time and the streets are a bit of a no-go area, Any advice is a appreciated

You won't find self deal in the US. I have heard similar things about Atlantic City's streets. The Boardwalk area is fine during the day, but a bit iffy at night.

The Borgata is your best best I reckon. (think that's the spelling).

NO self deal?  wow  thats cheered me up   Ty Heid.  I play a fair amount online (well a lot really) and will no doubt make a few blunders  in the casinos but It will be a lot of fun.. Also thanks to this forum I have had a few invites to Cincins in Glasgow with offers of help to get me used to Live games..  its a great place to hangout is blonde

My old mucker Stevie Bennett describes a visit to AC a couple of weeks ago on his blog http://baldisthenewblack.blogspot.com/ - no offence I think this is a great blog and he does describe it as a torrent of shite (the blog that is... although not over keen on AC either ) - well worth putting a couple of weeks to one side to catch up on. He tells me JZ's sports bar - just opened by Beyonces fella is a top place to eat/drink and watch US sports.

WHAT A GREAT blog. very good indeed.. Atlantic City doesn't come across too well  .  I'M going to New York for 10 days so the AC trip is just a diversion for a day but i am sure it will still be worth the triip.  stuck the blog onto my favourites too so thank you
