Had a bit of a hairy episode when I lost internet connection from home broadband, ISP went down completely Sad
Decided finally to set up the Bluetooth dongle, recognised mobile OK, software is brilliant. I set it up for Dial Up networking and am amazed to see it worked first time. Logged in to cash game with broadband, started playing, pulled plug completely on Broadband, switched to Dialup via Bluetooth and mobile, connected in about 10 seconds. Woohoo!

I just checked the prices with operator and they are 0.5p/Kb.
Was wondering if I played 3 tables on an average site over 1 hour, how much that would come to roughly in KB?

It will be too expensive. It works out at about 1MB per table per hour.

If you want to go fully mobile get a Vodafone USB modem on contract (£15 per month) You get 3GB and you can't use that much just browsing and playing poker.

Oh that's more than I expected. I'll keep it as backup.
Am nearly ready to take the plunge with a 3G dongle. Looks like there are different operators offering different packages over various 3G networks now.
I travel a lot by train but I don't think the connection would hold up too well (*must*place*bet*before*tunnel*)?

Thanks for the info!

It's all relative and for someone at my level, what does it matter?

If I'm donking up to 30 an hour what's a few quid here and there? Wink
