For me, goods things to take from the game.
- Joe Cole is a good player
- Lampard is good cover for Gerrard
- Walcott is fast
Not so good things
- Rooney is a shadow of his former self
- Andy Cole is going backwards as a player
- Our manager still thinks Beckham is maybe the way forward
- Heskey is genuinely England quality
- Walcott should be developing as a forward, not a winger
- Downing - Hmmm, dunno.
I look at a squad that should look something like
James, Carson, Richards, Johnson, A Cole, Terry, Ferdinand, Lescott, Downing, J Cole, Barry, Gerrard, Lampard, Bentley, Lennon, Wright-Phillips, Rooney, Owen, Walcott, Crouch
And I just don't see why we can't expect them to be in the world's top 6 or 7 teams.
And wtf is Bridge doing still at Chelsea. If the guy had just an ounce of bottle, and moved to a club where he might be in danger of actually getting a game, he might possibly become a proper international player, and then he could earn extra £££ off the field to compensate in dropping a few quid by leaving Chelsea. Lazy ponce !!!
