With the Duke out of the Irish Champion because of the ground that seems to leave the race open for New Approach..Certainly the class horse in the field but I simply don't trust him not to pull himself nuts.

King of Rome has to be the choice for me..he handles the ground and he was Johnny's pick of all O'brien's horses in the Derby so the O Brien team must be holding him in some regard..I think 11-2 is too big, especially when you consider how good O'Brien's Derby/Oaks losers have done over the past few years..this is a seriously good horse.

Lush Lashes should really show what she's made off now and if she gets a better ride than she did at Goodwood when behind Halfway to Heaven (ridiculously badly ridden/unlucky) she should finish ahead of her. 10-3 is way too big for me.

Henrythe Navigator will win in France. Johnny had already decided to go over to France before they pulled the Duke out of the Champion..and that's a BIG clue as to what they expect IMO. He's 13-8, 7-4 in places...that's massive!..If the Mrs would let me, the mortgage would be on.

yes i agree about King of Rome ,4 horses  could win this ,but i couldnt be taking the short odds on new approach, king of rome is the value bet i think,

henry the navigator should win but no cert today, not sure how bad the ground is in france. goldivka could suprise but i still expect henry to win,

i dont fancy lush lashes one bit today, only bad run was on testing ground,
i like carribean sunset to run a good race today

Lush Lashes....better ridden this time (OK he actually didn't give her that great a ride...but better than Goodwood) ..nice..thought Nahoodh was going to come there at one stage but she has enough left.

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

nice shout on Goldikova. Henry got way too far back for me and took a very long time to get going...don't know if Henry wasnt quite right or Johnny just buggered things up a bit but good win for Goldikova nonetheless.

King of Rome only went backwards through the race...New Approach won easy enough..don't think much of the form though with Traffic guard second.
