Tottenham have a knack of starting the season so poorly - how do they do it so consistantly?!!

Sigh .. As with every football supporter, when the fixtures come out you look at you first 6 games and work out what kind of a start you are looking at ... Boro away, Sunderland at home, Chelsea away and Villa at home ... you would have got some price that we would have 1 point and that was gained away at Chelsea !!

Really at a loss tbh, I hated the fact that we sold Keane (well documented on the blonde boards) .. I hated the fact that we had to sell Berbatov, I was gobsmacked that we signed a keeper who was prone to David James type calamaties, yet a million miles behind him in ability, i mean ffs, we played PSV over 2 legs and the bloke flapped at everything, only thing he got right over both legs was the penalty saves !!!

Bent is no good in Premier league, he has no bottle, he can produce in friendlies when defenders dont give a shit, but when it matters he just aint good enough.

Yes we have an exciting midfield but as creative as they are, you need someone with an ability to put the ball in the net ... Another fucking long season of mid table mediocrity begins.

Still we might get a cup run going ... does the year end in 1 ??  ... oh no its the points column next to Tottenhams name that ends in 1.

I must also add, villa were outstanding tonight ... defensively they never put a foot wrong, and Agbonlahor is frighteningly fast ... If they keep relatively injury free, they will be top 5 this season imo.

Cheer up Kev, I mean you could have Burnley for the championship then you'd be really upset!  Oh, imagine that!

I had to go to Colchester today, (bit of a family crisis, all sorted now) I have not long been home, I spoke to my son on way home to discuss the result and as usual i got the "FFS Dad, why did you make me a Spurs fan" Always makes me laugh when he says that, and I always reply "Supporting Spurs is an illness, it is hereditary. You will make your children suffer and they will make their children suffer"

He did cheer me up no end though with this pearl of wisdom that gave me a tiny bit of hope ... "We are only 3 points behind Man Utd, I will take that come the end of the season"  Good lad Sam !!

Fyp

I honestly had Spurs down for a cracking season this time round, until they sold Keane.  And there are moments I wish they could improve, but then I shake it off get back to enjoying their pain.
