What a dreadful shock it is to read this sad news. It was a real joy to meet Brendan and like so many others have said he was a perfect gent and many of us can learn a lot from knowing him and the strength he had.

RIP sir

Very sad news.

I had only met Brendan a few times but it was obvious from the outset what a sweet guy he was.
You could only admire the battle he put up against his illness - such spirit from the man

RIP Brendan

I have just arrived back from Malaga to hear this very sad news, and not afraid to admit that i have shed a few tears. I was playing poker with Brendan last Saturday in Brighton in the Poker Player Mag comp and I had a long chat with him about Malaga as I hadn't realised that he always tried to take a long break there each year. I don't know if he had booked another trip over there, but you could tell he loved the place and was looking forward to going again.
We also had a chat about his health and he seemed in good spirits and was looking forward to the Bash coming up. I busted out after a few hours and said farewell to Brendan and that I was saving my luck for the bash.
I nearly didn't bother going to Brighton, but now thankful that I did.

RIP Brendan
