Hard in UK to cause broken leg in assault and not go to court/get custodial term unless there is lack of evidence.

Admissions are pretty good evidence.
Admissions? Is that on the earlier thread? There must be something major in the way of a successful prosecution then. For all its faults, the system doesn't just go 'ABH/GBH + admission > slapped wrist'. What reason did they give for dropping it?
