ENFJ type description by J. Butt and M.M. Heiss

...

This link for a description

I looked up my 'type' and what it means, etc.

I don't know if I'm any wiser/better/happier knowing though.  What can I do with it?  I guess if I was on one of those company 'away days' (where they give you a length of rope, a plastic crate, some card and a goat and you have to work out a way to transport the goat across a river) and they were putting teams together, I'd be better alongside some introvert-leaning types so that we make a well-balanced team.  Other than that...

They're widely used to make a lot of money for occupational/business psychologists in pre-job screening (Level A/Level B testing) and I believe in them in principle. Some people clearly have a more creative bent and can dream up fancy plans but would probably be unsuitable in a humdrum rote type job, to give an example. In my opinion, they are also useful for partner selection. Hardly very romantic, but you do wonder wtf an ESTP/similar would ever want to be doing with an INXX.

I did the test for a work thing years ago.  Most of my colleagues were ISTJ's and it was considered that that was the most suitable personality type for the work I do.  No wonder I don't like it much!!

Possible Career Paths for the ENFP:

Consultant
Psychologist
Entrepreneur
Actor
Teacher
Counselor
Politician / Diplomat
Writer / Journalist
Television Reporter
Computer Programmer, Systems Analyst, or Computer Specialist
Scientist
Engineer
