Do I need 64 or 32 bit Vista?

I'm building a new pc and need to get an OS so obviously I'm going for Vista (I quite like it) but am unsure whether or not to go for the 64 bit version or the 32bit. I only use it for playing poker and photo stuff, I'm not really into games anymore, but I am tempted to lose my life and give WoW a bash but certainly nothing major and I'm not desperate to keep up to date with them.

I've read that 32 bit Vista will only recognise up to 3gb of ram, but do I need 4gb? If I go for the 32 bit, I'll get a 2gb pack I expect. If I get the 64 bit, I'll get 4gb.

I take it most things will run on 64bit Windows Vista?

I just haven't a clue these days, any advise appreciated.

64 bit is still only gaining support from software manufacturers in specific applications like cad/cam etc.

Save yourself the heartache and install 32 bit XP or if you must, Vista 32 bit for consumer use.

ZX81 was by baby with the 16k rampac that kept falling out after you'd typed in 8k of program from a geek magazine LOL.

I then jumped to the Oric 1 which was cool at the time.
