Hi guys, thought i would follow Dingdells advice and ask for a little help.

The other day all of a sudden all electrical items went dead. OK - so i flicked the switch and everything came back on - or so i thought....

I have now been 3 days without an oven. The clock works - but i cant get the oven to turn on.... It remains dead. What the hell has gone wrong? I'm meant to be eating the freezer in time for the move - and i can't even make chips.....

Any ideas?

What type of oven?  There's usually a few wee buttons you have to press to get it kick started after it's been shut down at the mains.

what Laxie said - turn on oven, press the wee buttons on the front, one at a time then in pairs, if still no joy mash hand on them all at the same time. eventually you'll get the oven working.

apart from a smell of gas ?

well, as others have said electric ovens generally require the clock to be set before the oven will start working (doesnt need to be at the right time).

set the clock to something and try again...

Look for the manual that came with the over.  Otherwise, tell us what make and model and we'll do a bit of googling for ya.
