i wrote the rules in sheffield
we always take notice of any comments good or bad and revise rules if we think they need them
recently we have added some of the TDA rules that apply in this country
like to think that i do an ok job when we have disputes

Well Notts, as my "local", will always be my fave card-room, but it has to be said, Craig & Fordy at Sheffield run it close, & in many ways, are better.

Authority & Discipline? Craig & Fordy have got it spot on, we don't get headmasters Lectures, decisions are made quickly, firmly, & with a smile.

Rulings? Ditto.

Innovations? All the time.

Car Parking? Free & safe.

Atmo? Perfect.

Smoking? Too much, I am afraid. I am a smoker, but it has to be said, the smoking at Sheffield is awful.

Room to move about? No! 11 or 12 to a table is TOO MANY. 10 at the VERY max please, & a little more room to get in or out of your seat.

Senior Management? Friendly, & not at all aloof. They wander in during the evening, & chat to the players.

Response to suggestions? Excellent. Though Fordy did not take kindly to my suggestion to him recently........Well he don't look hetrosexual to me.

Keep up the good work!

Oops, & I forgot to add......

NO JUICE!

Can you imagine that? House Dealers provided - good ones too - & the Casino does NOT charge a registration fee!

Is that right Tikay?  No Juice?

That's very good.  Can you definitely not make Wednesday?  It's probably the only day I'll be there unless I get lucky, then I'll be back for Friday.

Yup, NO JUICE.

Wednesday? Doubtful, which is a shame, I'd love to hook up with you & say Hi.

But it's 425 day. If I catch the 6.25 from St Pancras to Sheffield, that would be too late. If I could get the 17.40, I could make it, but it would be about 8.45 into Sheffield, so no guarantee of a seat being available for the comp.

So possible but looking unlikely......

I'll take a rain check, maybe ring Craig & see what time it starts, & how many seats are sold. Guess it depends how early we get 425 finished. Expecting a big postbag this week......

You could always send Craig a cheque.

C'mon Tikay, we can tell you're tempted  Grin

I'll buy you a (cheapest on offer) drink.  I'll be there with my Hendon Mob wannabe friends, T-Shirts with names on and everything!
