Not sure what sort of team I can muster but I will have a go.

Looks like 11 sign ups in total so I've PMed kingjon to see if we can get 12, which would be easier to manage.

Assuming so I propose the following:

3 groups of 4 - Home and Away Matches (6 weeks, starting next weekend).

Top 3 group winners and best placed 2nd place team play off in Cup semi-finals and final.  Other two 2nd place teams and best two 3rd placed teams play off in Plate semis and final.  The other 4 teams play off in the Spoon semis and final.  This'll take another 2 weeks to complete so should get us nicely to the end of the Battrick season.

Assuming no objections (and that I hear back from Jon) I'll do the draw over the weekend and put fixtures up for the league games.  If I can't get Jon I'll chase down AN Other to get us upto 12.

So, everyone has a guaranteed game throughout the tournament, and we'll end up with a 1-12 ranking of teams at the end of it via the 1,2,3,4's of the Cup, Plate and Spoon respectively.

Just a reminder, best 2nd placed team from the groups goes into the Cup, 2 other runners up and 2 best 3rd placed teams make up the Plate and the other 4 go into the Spoon.

I'll update with league tables as we go along - 2pts for a win, 1 for a tie, 0 for a loss, NRR to split ties.  Fixtures not played will result in both teams losing 1 point and being given -5.0 NRR points unless blame can be clearly proven (e.g. proof of challenge being made but not accepted).  If fault is clear then the default result will be a Win awarded by a 5.0 NRR margin.  I will rule on all disputes.  If I'm involved in any myself then I nominate Ironside to make the ruling (hopefully not needed, but just trying to cover off everything up front).

Can both home and away team please share responsibility for issuing challenges to maximise the chances of games being played.
