Track laying locomotive?

I always thought such jobs were done manually by Irish folks and Chinamen?

Tramlink? Croydon has a tram-based MTS?

2 points extra.

Ruislip - nice pics Claire, especially the Bus, which looks like an early RT.

Ruislip Lido, & the miniature Railay there. What a memory.  I ran away from home as a little boy, aged 8 or 9 I suppose, & ended up at Ruislip Lido, sleeping in the Gents Toilets at night, & helping the man on the Miniature Railway during the day.

I got found at 5am on Bank Holiday Monday, by a copper. He asked me where I was going. "Walking my dog" I said. "So, where's the dog then?" he asked....

"What dog? Oh, THAT dog. It ran away" I said.

"I think you have, too" said he. Adventure ends.

I like how you've used bold and centre-align on the title of the post there. A point for that surely.
