Hi,

Just left the Club and we have 107 players already bought in or qualified through satelites, so the actual number will be 107 + "Pay On The Day" players

We are not sure what the number of "Pay On The Day" players will be, we have had about 40-50 additional players confirm they are coming by email but they have not bought in yet so you never know...

In the current economic climate its a decent attempt for DTD at our first £1,000 tournament, we are learning all the time, and next year we will do absolutely everything we can to avoid clashes with other events.

Clearly the clash with the GUKPT Tournamant of Champions and Gala's main event must be avoided in the future, we moved our event 1 week later than planned to avoid clashes- we would have even changed it again but the magazines had already gone to print. I would like to apologise to any players than have not been able to play our comp due to the clash and we will do everything in our power to work better with other tournament organisers in the future.

When we set the £100K GTE we only had 6 runners confirmed, next year we will set it higher on the basis of how much interest there has been, we orginally expected 80-120 runners which is respectable, it does look like we should exceed the 120 mark easily but we will wait and see.

DTD is always under the microscope and sometimes I feel that we are expected to get every single thing 100% right all of the time, this is not possible, we have only been open 12 months, but we are always trying to improve and over time, we will get better and better.

I notice there is some over/under betting going on, remember people can buy-in till 7.15pm (even though the comp starts at 2pm) as this is WSOP format and a player only loses 1SB and 1BB even if they buy in 4hrs 15 mins late, effectively meaning there is almost no penalty on the 20,000 chips starting stack, so you will have to wait till 6.15pm until the correct number of runners is official.

Cheers

Rob
