Well thats another Blackpool festival on my pro. railbird CV.

Perfectly run as usual, Danny (Yogi-Bear) has a way of dealing with any problems in a way that should be filmed and sent to every cardroom supervisor in the country.

I was there for the whole week, I arrived at about 11pm on the Monday and got home at about the same time the following monday...Accomodation was first class, Myself, Ariston,Burnley John and Chubbs Nowab stayed at Steve (Womble) Walmsley's house, First class hospitality...and Ariston cooks a damn good breakfast Wink

During the course of the week, my poker whoring was mentioned a few times ... Blue square kit one night .... William Hills the next, even Pukka pies got in on the act when i sported a cap and T-Shirt bearing the fine logo of that first class pie manufacturer.... My Blonde poker cap got a good airing too, and despite several offers of sexual favours from various females in return for my cap,  I am proud to say that the cap is still in my possession. But by far the most comments came on the saturday night when i arrived in the casino dressed very smartly in a suit and tie .... Comments ranged from... "did you plead guilty" (Camel) ... to "Did you get the job" (various) , The reason for the suit was that Simon Nowab had arranged tickets to see a pal of ours box in blackpool on the saturday night, Ringside VIP tickets no less... Unfortunately, Simon couldnt make it as he had visitors from overseas and couldnt get over to Blackpool until much later.... I was just about to leave and go on my own, when a very smart looking fella (also in a suit) came over to say hello ...It was fellow blondeite The Tank , "hello mate, How are you getting on in the comp"  I said ... "I'm out" he replied .. Well to cut a long story short, he ended up at the boxing with me, and we had a fantastic night.. I took a few bob off him by picking the winners of 5 fights to his 2 ... and our pal who was boxing got a home town decision and his bout was declared a draw !!   Was a good night and we managed to blag a cab back to the casino in time to have a few more bevvies.

During the week I met several blondites, Mrs bluewolf, Foxy minx, Karabiner, Red Dog and his better half (she is far too good for him you know) Ironside (the Fish) what a result he had, he was in that omaha comp so long that he escaped buying me a meal , though i did manage to get a cheese and ham toastie out of him Wink  Trace T popped over, lovely lady, good laugh, but im worried what she would be like when her gang is around.. she phoned angie and i got to say hello over the phone...and when those two are with Jo..I pity any poor bloke who tries to mess with them !!  Mick Mcloskey (headcase) was there , as was Vidal and his mates from Teeside, great bunch of lads.   Yogi, Claire and tanya from the cardroom were great and let me wander about the cardroom with complete freedom, and Kaibobble from a world of poker is just a little gem, i was quite taken with her, but despite all my efforts to get her to leave her boyfriend and move to sunny Colchester with me, she somehow managed to resist temptation ( I know, unbelievable but true) The Nun and Mr Nun ... what can i say ... Mrs Nun is lovely, she gives fantastic cuddles and i was on a winner all round, if she went out of a comp i got to give her a consolation hug, if she made the break i got to give he a congratulations hug, hell even if she won a hand i gave her a hug...any excuse Smiley I also managed to give her a few shoulder massages while she was at the tables, once when she was sat next to carlo ... he got well jealous Wink Mr Nun is a smashing fella, lets face it, any bloke who lets ME hug his Mrs 27 times a night must be a decent chap. I know it (craig) shared a few beers and more than a few laughs with him over the week .... I also became the latest person to see a pic of Camels little QPR supporter .... im just glad that the little fella has his mums looks and his dads poker ability ... imagine how unlucky poor Jake would be if that was reversed Wink Luke smith (Doc12345) and his lovely lady claire were there and were great company as always Smiley

Highlights of the week were...... Ironside in the Omaha ... despite my severe case of sleep deprivation and a stinking hangover I stayed to the death to railbird the fish... and I think I was more excited than him when he made the final table...WELL DONE MATE !!! .......................... The atmosphere in the cardroom was also a highlight, throughout the whole week all the games were played in good spirit and Blackpool Grosvenor cardroom is in my opinion head and shoulders above any other in the country...and remember i have visited quite a few !!

So to sum up, Blackpool was a great venue for a great festival, and superbly run... I met many old friends and made a lot more new ones ...  Cheers Blackpool ..Heres to the next one

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

Glad you had such a great time Kev.

I would have loved to have been there and did plan to but circumstances got in the way.

I have always had a good time playing in Blackpool and it is one of my favourite venues. Credit to Danny for that.

Hope to meet you and some others soon    Cool

Many Thanks Guys and Gals.

Glad everyone enjoyed themselves. It was good to meet so many new blondites, and so many old ones too.

I had fun and look forward to seeing everyone again. Mrs RED-DOG was there and she never came to say hello. Dissappointed. Altho I never really had the time to stop and chat to anyone properly this year.

after a slight disagreement between barry neville and the blonde mods over a post of his that was deleted i stepped in to smooth things over, which ended up with barry telling red dog at blackpool last week that he would sort me out when i got there. i told red dog no problem i will just chip him on the chin if he starts and red dog promised £10 to charity if i got a photo of my chipping barry on chin

so if anyone else wants me to chip someone on chin you now know the cost dad dont dance
