I think you might have zoomed.
If you press the ctrl button and the scroll wheel on your mouse, you can zoom in and out. FF3 will remember your zoom settings on a site by site basis.
Try that first, and then we can move on to the next solution if that fails...

Laz: I don't have serf, sans-serf or monospace options. Kin: I haven't zoomed.

I know what it is (I think). It's to do with font smoothing. You can turn on font smoothing for Firefox, but there is a catch—you have to turn it on for all of Windows at the same time. To turn it on, go to the “Display Properties” dialog box (either through the control panel or by right-clicking on a blank area of the desktop and choosing “Properties”), click the “Appearance” tab, then click the “Effects” button. Under “Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts” choose “ClearType.” This will add the same font smoothing effect in Internet Explorer 7 to everything in Windows, including Firefox. Do you want to try that?

it's been a while since I upgraded but iirc there's pretty much no visual change, you probs won't even notice the difference.
That's another fine mess you've got me into.

So the text was shorter and fatter? Was it serif or sans-serif?
