Well I don't appear to have that email. I'd guess at a security breach/rogue staff member rather than the site deciding to sell the details themselves.

Well, I'm not sure I buy that, oh gullible one.

A Database is a very valuable asset, & I can well imagine a hard-up Online Poker Site selling theirs on for a decent lump of cash.

Or a hard-up worker for what would be, relatively speaking, a bigger lump of cash Wink

I just got a spam e-mail that quoted my home address in the subject line.  Its my ISP address and altho I get a lot of spam I don't join forums or generally buy anything using it.  I do use it for poker sites.  This happened to anyone else?  Any suggestions as to how I could find out how they got this info?

I got one with my old home address in it...not best pleased.

me too

I got this on the email address i use purely for poker related activities and it is my old address from about 18 months ago. So it is an old database somehow poker related.

I can think of a few Online Poker Sites have ceased to trade over the last year or two, due to poor traffic/liquidity.

As part of the closing down/tidying up process, & to optimise revenues, they may well have sold their Databases.

The majority of the email addresses I've used to sign up to poker sites have ended up in the hands of spammers some how, even the ones that are still going.

Yukon Gold Casino who sent me a cd in the post to my home address is apparently on the Microgaming Network. I have previously had 2 accounts on their network, Crazy Poker & Bet365, so it must be 1 of them or Microgaming itself who have sold my details on.
