Yukon Gold Casino who sent me a cd in the post to my home address is apparently on the Microgaming Network. I have previously had 2 accounts on their network, Crazy Poker & Bet365, so it must be 1 of them or Microgaming itself who have sold my details on.
I just received the same disc in the post.

I got sent a similar disk. Even if I was tempted to join their site before ( which I wasn't ). It makes me 100% determined never to play there now that they irritate me at home with junk mail. I would rather play somewhere that waits for me to contact them rather than the other way around.
A while back a popular and well used Crypto site phoned me repeatedly over the space of a few weeks asking if I wanted to make a real money deposit. After politely telling them to leave me alone, I made a decision never to play at their site and so far I never have. This was after clicking the 'don't contact me with news' icon when setting up the account.

I work in database management and we constantly have to keep on shouting at our clients to not break the data protection act. Most companies don't give it much thought at all - despite the fact that, in theory at least, you can get quite hefty penalties for breaking it.

Difficult to prosecute when the company is based in another country though.

That too.
Although I don't think that if it is the poker company itself selling the data they've thought about that, I think it's more likely that they just haven't thought about data protection at all.

I just approach it with a petty childish mindset. If they annoy me, I make myself feel better by never giving them my time again. As I am a fish, I am sure this doesn't bother them a great deal, however it makes me feel slightly better knowing I won't be paying rake at their site.

I don't think I had a bet 365 account but I have received the disc,,,,,,,
I have had accounts with microgaming but I think Ladbrokes is the only one that used that email address (there may have been another one but not certatin about this). Also I searched 2+2 for any similar thread and couldn't find any, so it looks like a uk facing site.

Has anyone heard of WINDOWS CASINO? They sent me a letter earlier talking up their site.
The annoying thing is the fact the letter starts with "Dear Lewis" as if I am their loyal customer. This is almost as irritating as members from political parties knocking on your door a week before election time and trying to convince you to vote for them. Is anyone actually conned by this stuff?
