We used to have one. Got it for the missus as she really wanted one - I thought it was a girly car. Anyway, she picked a nice one that had a nice kit on it (i'll see if I can dig out a photo of it). When she moved jobs and got a company car, I got rid of mine and drove the MX5. Great fun, and I'd thoroughly recommend them to anyone who wants a fun car to drive.
Ours was a Eunos Roadster (same car, just made for the Japanese market rather than for the UK). They are usually slightly cheaper and come with more 'stuff' (such as air-con) than the UK standard models.
Found a piccy:

I can't really fit in one - there's a rod in the roof that is exactly where the top of my head is.
Great fun though - drove my mate's on an airfield driver training day.
Can't really comment on the hairdresser aspects of it!

I nearly bought one a few years ago but couldn't find one. As long as it isn't white you'll be fine. Same for the MR2's.

Firstly it's a popular misconception in the driving world that drinking decreases your ability to drive safetly, what kind of motorist want to go near a car that's swerving all over the place? this cuts down dramatically on the chances you'll have a minor nick with someone tailgating you(though does increase the chances dramatically that you'll drunkenly crash into a sign post at 70mph and go through the windscreen) still how many times is that going to happen, ive never been stood by the side of the rd and seen that happen and ive crossed loads of roads!! it just doesnt happen.
keeping your brain as finely tuned as possible is key to proficient driving, you want to be alert and attentive when driving so sharpen up your motoring skills by multitasking when driving, give your brain a real work out, i suggest you start off with texting a friend whilst looking for a small nail you've thrown under the seat whilst driving, start off by doing these small things whilst bombing down the motorway at 90 and you'll soon be such an astute driver you'll be able to start bringing in more advanced distactions such as....playing fetch with your dog from the front and back seat, writing a novel, engaging in relations with a woman of the night whilst driving around Clapham filming it on your phone.
gl with all your motoring endeavours motorist, we salute you

Thanks Dr Bolt! I will circulate it to all my motoring friends.
Sadly, my girlfriend left me when I bought an MX5 for someone with a Porsche Boxster, I'll save up and try the in-car-lovin tips when I get the right ride
