Love my cue sports, shame i havent got sky sports this year...

Good interview on SSN earlier with Earl, saying how he once played a snooked exhibition with Eddie Charlton in France in a best of 3. He took the first frame with an 80-odd break he said, then in the 2nd Charlton ''squeezed him like a grape'' in a 2 hour frame.  I can just imagine how much that would have wound him up even in an exhibition!

I like this too

Europe usually gets papped, probably because Hearn insists on Steve Davis and Drago being on our team. or did.

Earl the Pearl is like McEnroe and Hellmuth rolled into one

No Davis this year, but Drago is in. Don't lose much by having him in either as this sort of format he is as good as the rest.

We have USA as favourties but I think Europe may do it as its on home turf and the eurpean crowd always rile the yanks!

Also, any markets on this?  I'm never convinced by Archer, I havent checked his record, but never seems to do it in the Mosconi from memory...

Earl is def the Hellmuth of the pool world i remember him wearing the finger exstencers as he called them a few years ago then the sunglasses.

I think he is well past his best now. How do the teams get picked as it seems its more of the big names are there every year.

What about the world champ from England i think he made the last side.

Daryl Peach, he was in it last time. Mark Gray is the Englishman this time, quit snooker to take up 9ball so his potting will be off the lamp shades but tactically inept if a game goes that way.

The pearl is still the best, spread on number of accessories he uses is 4.2-5.7, his 2 cues do not count (he doesn't use a jump cue, thinks its cheating).
