Recommend an album (new stuff)...

Is it just me or is new music becoming less accessible these days? Wasn't that way when I were a lad, we watched Top Of The Pops and knew what were good. Not like the new fangled kids of today.
Anyway, I came across the album of the Millennium so far recently by Foxboro Hot Tubs. Don't look them up online first, listen to the album and then stick'em in Google, more fun that way...

the hoopdopples are good, worth a look.
gibdanza also, think theyve had a couple of albums out though and have been around a while
not everyones cup of tea but the Snons have some great stuff(and some really crap stuff tbh) but it's a matter of taste.
let me know if you think theyre any good, and i'll have a look in my music folders to see if i can find some more, those sprung to mind though as lessr known bands that have some good stuff

LOL, ul.
This is what I mean. Ten years ago John Peel or Peter Powell* would have told us of a Thursday night that Green Day were doing stuff under a different name. How we supposed to know that now? Grrr.
Should have known this was far too accomplished to be a new group's first offering. It is unbelievable good though.
* OK, 20 years ago then

Well i had heard it was them on Zane Lowe show on Radio1 which I suppose is kind of the modern equivalent.
I would have kind of thought the opposite is true these days with various media outlets, lastfm, radio etc. I think band get more instant recognition now than ever use to, of course the stuff that isn't popular will be harder to find but that was always the case, no?
I suppose i can't really talk for pre mid 90's ways of finding about new music.

Greenday under a different name or not, this is a hell of a lot better than that dross the Kasier Chiefs/Arctic Monkeys/Franz Ferdinand et al put out every year. Good find Chompy
