hi all, this is my first post here so a big hello to you all.
i have just recently tried using  poker office to help me with my game  whiich i thinks above aversge anyway as i make a nice prifit every month mainly fron stt's. so i installed poker ffice to see if i could go that one step further. after 2 days of using it i felt like a poker bot. i was no longer enjoying my game but doing just what all the stats and graphs dictated  what i did every hand. it was quickly removed from my pc.  lol  so was wondering what you all think of software like this??
great tool to help good players get better??
or like me something that takes your own personall stlye and skill and pushes it to one side, just for you to do what it thinks you should do because the player normally plays x hand like this at x time?
look forward to your replys on this. i think this is a must for very bad weak players who want to just push buttons the software says. i wish u could tell who was using the software to use to your advantage to put these robot players on the back foot.

no, great tool to help good players earn more money.

playing stts for a living has got fuck all to do with having fun and the last thing you want to be doing whilst 10 tabling is "playing poker"

I suppose what benefit you derive from it depends on how many tables you play and for what reason you're playing

Regarding poker software it is useful for giving you reads on opponents in game especially if you are multi tabling and not able to concentrate on every action on each table. Also it is good for reviewing your own play and plugging leaks, noticing patterns etc.

From your op i presume you are a recreational player and you play poker for the enjoyment of it, if poker office is stopping you enjoying it then stop using it. I would argue that not using poker tools will in the long term hold you back from making more at poker, but that is up to you.

I don't see how it should change your style, it is simply giving you more information on your opponents. Though in sngs there is pretty much bar the early game, only one optimal style.

Lol at this being a must from very bad weak players, if you compared players using this software compared to ones who aren't, i know which group will be doing better at poker. It will not be anything to do with the software, it is just people aware of the software are more likely to want to improve their game and maximise their hourly.

There is a lot more out there then poker office as well - http://blondepoker.com/forum/index.php?topic=32646.0

thanks for your comments. i am a recreational player  in terms of i also have a job but my annual popker preifits are 50% more than my salary, just dont wanna play poker full time as i enjoy my job to much. i also multi table 5 stts  at 50$  to  200$ at a time with a couple of mtts  going at the same time, and  find no problem keeping up with the action myself.  i can see why people use such a tool it just hat i myself have such faith in my own  game that i saw it as a tool that plays 80% of the game for you.
but thats just my oppinon  what do i know.
thanks again for your reply's

Well thats fine for you, but some of us have things to do while we're playing - posting on forums, watching tv, listening to music, downloading "stuff"......

ps I actually agree that using software does make the game more like work than fun, but it is an advantage at lower limits.
