Hello all, I've moved house today and don't have the internet. As BT are asking for a 120 set up fee I was considering a dongle as we only need a landline for the internet.

A friend of mine has 3g but he says its useless and nearly impossible to play poker with. I've heard vodafone is better and wanted to ask who uses a dongle and how's the connection when playing poker?

I live in leeds so not expecting huge problems with coverage, my pal says his just disconnects after a few hours even if he has a signal.

Any help would be great, I hate that BT have you over a barrel if you want a decent connection!!

Vodafone is brill 3 gigs per month for £15. Providing you have decent mobile signal and are not in the sticks you'll be fine.

+1

You only need one disconnection in a $300 pot for that £120 set up fee to not seem so expensive.

I love my dongle but there's absolutely no way in the world I would consider it as a serious and permanent alternative to landline broadbrand.

Pay the masked men from BT whatever they demand imo.
