I dont like to judge anyone and i think that it would be ridiculous to make suggestions about peoples guilt without the full facts and especially without anything having been proven, he missed the black by half the table, o.k he explained about that, he's heard about the irregular patterns and was under pressure, half of the betting public lumped on 9-3 but it's o.k because as parrot says it's a popular score so i think we shouldnt really judge, it would be remiss and fatuous.
I would like to say as a side not though he looks very dodgy in his interview and is DEFINENTLY guilty.

On the subject of match-fixing, the world number 45 added: "People have been laughing and joking about things like that for years, but to my knowledge nobody has ever done anything. Snooker is too important, there is a career here."
Thats impressive, he's 45th in the world and never heard of Quinten Hann - LMAO. He must be as guilty as sin.

the miss looks bad really, he over cuts it as well which is what he'd do if he was at it cos it leaves the other fella on whereas if he undercuts it it rolls back onto the top cushion safe.

yeah, if he wasn't trying to lose the match then he's just shit and shouldn't have been in the tourney anyways.
6 year ban, just like Hahn IMO.

why didnt he just leave him in earlier and let him get a big break instead of doing it on a black ball frame

Because "he didn't want to look like he was losing on purpose" (rough quote from the interview he gave...essentialy he heard during the match that some people were saying there was something dodgy about the match and decided that he'd better try a bit harder.)

Who cares? Everyone knows most games are rigged, I don't think it would have made any difference if Jamie had played at his best Maguire would still have beaten him so if a few of his mates make a few quid out of it and the bookies get skimmed fair play I say. Its usually the bookies skimming the punters.
But you would have thought they would have thought the scam through a little more instead of a number of Scottish punters opening up fresh accounts and having decent sized punts.

WTF!
If you had placed a bet on 9-4 and saw that miss, i dont think you would be saying 'fair play'!
