No, no problem at all with people taking kids to Disneyland or on any other holiday.

Flying them to the Northpole to "meet Santa" baffles me completely though as you can "meet Santa" at your local shitty mall without spending thousands of pounds and then later moaning about the credit crunch and how life has become too expensive.

but you dont get the same sort of look of pleasure on the kids faces when they eventually find them.

Just imagine you had a kid/kids and took them and you went on a big hunt to find 'santa' and at the end they do find them how can you describe the look on their faces it would be a moment that would last a lifetime,

but yes it is  a load of money but imo it would be worth it..

what did parents used to do to make kids feel all happy about Christmas before they thought about spending 1000's of pounds flying them to the northpole?

I was thinking this, and I do actually think that a lot of times taking young kids to Disneyland is excessive.  There are other 'memorable' things that they can do that aren't as costly and the children would enjoy just as much (if not more).  I often think it's the case that Disneyland is the adult's choice rather than the kids - or the children are 'told' that it's what they want to do.

Oh and boldie, you have a PM Wink
