While making Christmas dinner in an effort to stay away from the in-laws I was going through tomorrow's Kempton races....noticed Harchibald was 8-1 tomorrow.

First time out seems to be the time to catch him though, Noel Meade's horses seem in half decent form and he is reported to be working very well.

Punjabi is of course a worthy favourite but surely 5-4 is too short and Harchibald is a good alternative IMO.

I'm already on, Kempton should be ideal for him as should good going.

he's a dodge but i'd rather have a speculative interest in harchibald at a price than Kauto for a lump.

If that is how you think the race might go why not have £100 on @8/1 and stick £500 to lay @ evens in running ?

It is one of the reasons why first time out seems to be the time to catch him..the horse doesn't fight well, we all know this..but, if you look at last year's first time out win he did go through a narrow gap and showed plenty then.

I reckon he should be caught first time and 8-1 is massive.
