Right, got my car MOT'ed and Serviced yesterday (and this morning) and got it back right before the muppets closed at 13.00.

Now, I seem to have very little power when accelerating (rev counter even hardly goes up and it crawls upto any speed..say from 0-30 and from 30-50) and (and this is the really F'ing worrying bit) there's smoke coming out of the bonnet and the smell of something burning but I can't determine exactly what it is, at the windscreen end. The car is also shaking when stationary and the engine sounds much deeper when driving (like a fecking truck to be honest). I have also seen a  spot of oil where I parked my car on the drive way...also not bloody good.

All they did (or should have done) was Service, MOT, change of battery and change of ignition leads.

Anyone have any clue as to what the fecking garage monkeys could have done? The idiots are closed until Saturday (Scottish bankholiday) and I need to know just how pissed off with them I need to be.

It's a Merc Automatic..if that matters.

Shit, Boldie.
Service=Oil change? Maybe they hadnt refitted the sump drain thingy properly?
I have no other ideas but get them back asap to collect it from your house!
Why do these things allways happen at times like this.
Hope it all gets sorted.

Happy New Year.

ps- how pissed off? Very i think.

good luck sorting it. Check the small print of the service receipt and make sure it allows you to claim for extra costs incurred in fixing it.

p.s do the mechanics have kids? If so, really time to get indignant.
