Sigh - Barking and Dagenham are on a real fine roll ....
I received a 'driving in a bus lane fine' which was dubious as I was lurning left into the parade of shops strip and my wheel just 'cut' over the white line. Bang that's 60 quid. Then my friend got one for the same thing. Then my husband Then my brother in law
all within 2 weeks.
A week after that I received another one this one for stopping in a box junction - whoooaaaaaaaa this one I wanted to see evidence of, so I call then and ask see the offending 'footage'. I said that I didnt want to see photogrpahic stills I wanted to see the whole video (which apparently you can see), but today 4 photographs arrive instead. First one is before the box junction. 2nd, 3rd and 4th all show the EXACT same time just 3 different enlargements.
Well, my back tyre is a smidgen on the edge of the yellow line.
Sigh - fecking Barking council

My Dad got done with one of the bus lane ones, litterally touched the line at the end of the bus lane at some traffic lights.

Another annoying trend is changing speed limits without any warning signs going up. A dual arraigeway near my house moved from 60 to 40 - no warning notices at all. And part of the road down to Ayr that is covered by average speed cameras moved from 60 to 50 - no warning signs, so fck knows how many ppl were caught out by that.
Its quite obvious that these c*nts view drivers as a dripping roast.

You can easily get the money back in a roundabout way.
Just go out in a group of youths, break a member of the publics leg n ribs and hey presto it will be your human rights to get a free holiday in some far off country.
I am still bitter yes. Does it show?.

You have good reason to be petal. I hope that karma does come back to bite them in the a rse bigh time though. Found a site called penalty charges forum. Very interesting from the quick glance, not just about parking penalties but all sorts of info from banks charges, those dodegy debt collecting agencies etc. Will check it out further later on tonight.

So, I decided to challenge this as fed up with all the fines and I won :-)))
The offense for box junctions is on the 'entering' rather than the exit so the fine was not valid.

Nice work!! I love a happy ending. So you hadn't committed an offence because you hadn't crossed the line? Goal-line technology FTW.

Great result, I suppose the moral of the story is to challenge every fine, if everyone did this then they would be a lot more cautious before issuing stupid ones.
