New season is nearly upon us.  Is it going to be another year of St Helens bottling it at the final hurdle after dominating for the majority of the season?  Will Leeds keep their title?  Will Wigan be a better side without Barrett?  Will anyone else throw their name's into the hat for the title.

Quite a few comings and goings in the transfer window.

My favourite is Piggy, who's signed for Wigan.  Him and Cunningham could talk about pies for quite a while I'd imagine.  I'm looking forward to the chants from the opposition towards him - but I guess he's used to them by now!

Looking forward to the new of season of proper rugby, instead of 20 people in a big pile with the ball stuck somewhere in the middle and then the ref blows up for a penalty that not even knowledgable union fans what it is for and someone kicks a penalty. Yeah i don't like Rugby union you could say.

Not been following the off season going ons but if not too much has changed it will be Leeds or St Helens and then the rest.

Actually I know very little about RL so I'm going to watch quite a bit this season hopefully.

Super league champions for the 3rd year running please! Well its the only sport Leeds has a decent team in, although we played second fiddle to the saints to much of last season I think we can only improve.

Our youth academy is the best in the country around 15-16 of the squad are home grown.

Thanks Kin - found the thread.

Still smiling after the Kiwi's beat the Ockers in the World Cup. Just wish I had put a couple of bob on but thought it dead money lol.

As for the super league will be cheering on Saints as its the one side the whole family supports and they play great attacking rugby when on song.

Would be good to see Warrington break into the top 3 just to mix it up a bit. This year should see quite a few rookies break through into the league.
It amazes me how little money flows into the game compared to Football and Union when the entertainment value is generally better than most fare served up in the other codes.

I am up for meeting up before a game this season - Wigan not too far for me, Saints and Warrington closer. Will keep an eye on this board.

We'll definitely have to organise a get together at a game or two.

Really looking forward to the season.  I'd much rather watch an average game of RL than an average game of football or RU.

You're always miserable Cheesy.

So you're up for a match or two this season?

Wigan SHOULD get off to a flying start against a decimated Wakefield.  Should be a 50-0 win at least, so watch us lose it 12-13.

Think you will do well this year. You've been very quiet about the Football. Pulled a hamstring lately?

No, I'm fine thanks.  You can sponsor me for my run via the link in my sig though.

Oh, you meant Stevie G!  Yes, a big loss - would be to any club.  We coped without him earlier in the season, so the other players will have to step up to the plate and show that we don't just depend on Stevie.

Anyway, back to the rugby.  What have stains been up to during the off-season?  Any good signings?
