Could I? Yes. Would I? No. Should I? Not unless there is nothing else to eat.

Although the fewer dogs on this planet the better IMO. Cats FTW.

Your probably right about western prejudice...its just a mentality thing- maybe coz I have a dog too

I've tried other mental stuff like Alligator, Kangaroo, Ostrich, Shark, etc so not easily put off but just the thought of munching down on Rover makes me feel a queasy- think it would be even worse if it was like that programme and they are all running around in the street while your eating their brothers

I could eat a dog, and would have no real problem doing so as a meat eater, but prefer not to because I feel they have more personality than most animals. I certainly wouldn't eat a dog if it was abused to the extent it was in the clip.

No.  I wasted a few minutes recently reading Dale's blog after stumbling across it, in it he mentions eating whale meat. I couldn't eat dog or whale.  I will stick with vegetables and pasta.

meat is meat.  I don't think I'd choose to eat it, but it wouldn't bother me.  Perhaps a stew or something would be best.

I ate a stew once that was very tasty and didnt know till after it was cat meat.

Rabbit too is very nice but it kind of sticks in your throat when you have seen the poor bunny hopping around, then shot and hung by its feet to bleed.

As the programme said we are brought up thinking its ok to eat beef/pork/chicken/lamb but why are these animals different from any others ?

The tiny wee birds and sucking out their brains was a bit yukk tho

I wouldn't eat a dog, a camel, a horse, an elephant or a donkey.

Anything else, deep fried on a stick, including monkeys. mmmmmm

People often eat placentas after a child is born, meant to be very good for you apparently.  I guess it was more common thousands of years ago when people had to hunt and forage for food.  It would be a way for the mother to consume a lot of the nutrients she's just 'lost' in giving birth.

Juts found this: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/101944.stm

A lot of people who eat meat would eat dog, horse, whale, monkey, ape, so why draw the line at human meat?
